I just completed reading VisionMongers by David duChemin (first book I’ve read on my new nook) and absolutely loved it!!! In my opinion this is a MUST read for anyone out there Photographing on a part time basis or even as a hobby and is questioning themselves on taking that next step into the Photography Business World. The author definitely does not sugar coat the decision to do so and continually reminds you through the book that there is no shared “SECRET” and that it’s a tough business. I will definitely be reading this book over again and taking the time to look into other avenues & suggested reading material throughout the book.  In his book he also talks/covers short stories on the Careers of 9 other well known photographers and their paths (and sometimes pitfalls) to the careers they Love, which to me was plus to hear others admit mistakes and struggles.
